Hello tapas banerjee,
I too agree with your concept of students going abroad.
But there is surely a point of why are students still are showing interest even in recession time.It is because of the reservations that we Indians are still facing in.
Take an example of an OC male candidate of good academic track record(good not best). If he studies in India he will surely get a college but of lower grade and good theoretical knowledge.Whereas, if he goes abroad he will get a better university of myraid practical knowledge.
Getting into IIT's in India is not a joke and a student need to put a lot of effort in IIT-JEE exam or GATE exam depending on his interest and also fight the reservations.
But GRE and TOEFL are quite contrast in this aspect. These exams just take the merit into consideration and allot seats.
And morover there is no proper support from the government to encourage such people.
So there is still lot more to change in India.
Thank you.
