Unit-1: Textiles in filtration, Filter fabric construction- Woven, needle felt & knitted filter fabric (2), Finishing treatment of filter fabric (2), Thermal and chemical properties of filter fabric (2), Essential requirements of good filter fabric (2).

Unit-2: Waterproof breathable fabrics- Densely woven fabric, membranes, coatings (3), Membranes- Micro porous membrane, Hydrophilic membrane (2), Coatings-Microporous coating, Hydrophilic coatings (2), Performance of waterproof breathable fabrics (2).
