HOW TO CHECK YOUR MODEM IS COMPLAINT OR NOT.

To check whether your modem is complaint or not follow the steps :
goto CONTORLPANEL > PHONE AND MODEM OPTIONS > MODEMS > PROPERTIES > DIAGNOSTICS > QUERY MODEM.
Then the system will communicate with the modem and show some outputs in the white screen below it.There is also another way to check it using commands.
goto: START > PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > COMMUNICATIONS > HYPER TERMINAL. Type a name and click OK.Then click on COM1 and if you are using internal modem click on COM3 in the connect using option.Then select OK.If the system gives OUTPUT as OK the communication between your system and modem is ok.
