How to configure pidgin for google talk (gtalk)

To setup pidgin for gtalk make the following changes in your pidgin client
1.select add an account
2.set protocol as XMPP
3.username -- enter your gmail username
4.resource -- home
5.under the advanced tab
check force old (port 5233) ssl
connect port 443
connect server talk.google.com
file transfer proxies -- proxy.jabber.org:7777
proxy type -- use global proxy settings
