Madurai is in Heart of Tamilnadu and is having called as TEMPLE CITY wherein you can have so many temples to worship. Goddess Meenakshi rules the world by having temple in Madurai.

Madurai is also called Non sleeping city. You can have anything in the city at any time. Hot tiffins are available at 24 hours in this city. Eatable like Bonda,Bajji,vadai are available in all teastalls also afresh.

Madurai is having its festivity in all months.
The city is planned well in those days itself as the Main Meenakshi Temple is sorronded with the streets in squares and named with the tamil months. It is easy to locate ourself in this city.

Flower - the JASMIN is very much famous in madurai

The famous temples in the city are:
MEENAKSHI SUNDARESWARAR TEMPLE
KOODAL AZHAGAR PERUMAL TEMPLE
IMMAYIL NANMAI THARUVAR TEMPLE
MADANAGOPALA SWAMI TEMPLE
KRISHNAN TEMPLE adjuscent to South Masi Street is worthseeing as tallest Anjaneya is having its shrine inthis temple.
KAMAKSHI AMMAN TEMPLE
Besides this many more temples are in the city.

Two of six abodes of Lord Muruga is located around Madurai, namely Thirupparankundram and Pazhamuthirsolai.

Thirupparankundram is located nearly 6 km from railway station which is well connected with number of buses from the main busstand.

Pazhamuthisolai is located in north of madurai which is also well connected with many buses from the main bus stand.

Azhagarkoil,Nuburagangai are situated near madurai which has a big temple for Lord Mahavishnu (perumal)who was worshipped by Kallars, a group of villagers (so the vishnu is called as KALLA AZHAGAR).In nuburagangai,situated in atop of hill,the water comes from unseen place which is contains many herbals and is believed that it will cure all diseases. From the bottem Temple side there are vans to go to Pazhamuthirsolai and Nuburagangai.

From Madurai, one can easily go to Rameswaram,Palani,Kodaikaanal etc.,

Madurai is a place one should visit.
Very beautiful city with many temples.
Lord subrahmanya temples in Thirupparankundram and Pazhamuthirsolai are also to be definitely seen.

The place is such a holy place as many days as you stay there you feel afresh without any other worries or thoughts.
