Management Aptitude Tests

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
Management Aptitude Tests will help to find out the management skills that a student have.MAT is recognized by the government as an entrance exam for MBA and other such courses. Institutes like All India Management Association (AIMA) or Management Institutes (MI)or Centre for Management Education (CME) offers management courses based on MAT score.
AIMATS conducts a Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on a national level every year in the months of May, September and December.
Common Admission Test (CAT)
Several management institutes admits students for MBA and equivalent programs based on the scores of CAT exam. CAT Exam will held in every year.In August the advertisement stars and exam will be on November. Results will come in January.
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA) categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
NMAT
NMAT is another manage aptitude test conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies(NMIMS) * NMIMS is the first business school to be accredited and awarded a “FIVE STAR” rating by the UGC sponsored National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which is the highest rating that is awarded by the council.
* NMIMS has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 Certification by ICL in 2004.
* The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC) has accredited NMIMS University with Grade 'A' (Score 85-90%)
NMAT is another online test conducted by NMIMS for admission in MBA courses and Ph.D programs. Advertisements will be released in leading publications of the country in October/November 2009.
Xavier Admission Test (XAT)
XAT is a national level aptitude test for the admission in to he post graduate management programmes at Xavier Institutes, conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. Some other institutes also admits students based on the XAT score.
XAT is a single-stage entrance test followed by GD and Personal Interview. GD & PI are conducted by the institute concerned. XAT is an objective type multiple choice test usually comprising 3 sections - Verbal Ability (English) and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude (Math) and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning - followed by an essay writing section.
