Admission in MCA/MCA(Software Engineering) course of Indraprastha University

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU) conducts Common Entrance Test for admission MCA/MCA(Software Engineering) course of Indraprastha University as well candidates have to appear in a an Entrance Test.
Indraprastha University was established in 1999 by Government of NCT of Delhi and is recognised by University Grants Commission. It is the largest university in Delhi which provides variety of professional programmes.
Indrapratha University provides the 3 year MCA Programme in the University Campus through University Institute of Information Technology and 17 other affiliated institutes. The MCA Programme of Indraprastha University and affiliated institutes has over 1000 seats including those for reserved categories.
Eligibility:
A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with atleast 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university/institute. The candidate should also have passed Maths and English in Class 12th. Candidates appearing for their final year examinations in 2010 can also apply. Also a candidate should not be more than 35 years as on 1st August, 2010.
Availability of Application Forms:
Candidates can get the application form from designated Punjab & Sind Bank branches all over India. The form can also be obtained by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft and a self addressed envelope. Candidates can also apply online through the website ipu.admissionhelp.com.
Important Dates(Tentative):
Availability of Application Forms: February 2nd week-April 3rd week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of request for form by post: April 1st week, 2010
Last Date for receipt of completed application form: April 3rd week, 2010
Date of CET: May 4th week, 2010
Declaration of Results: May End, 2010
Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.
Pattern of Examination:
The entrance test will be of two and a half hours consisting of objective questions from the following sections:
(i) Mathematics - (25%),
(ii) English Language & Comprehension -(25%),
(iii) Computer Awareness-(25%),
(iv) Logical and Analytical Ability-(25%)
