SCOPE OF THE WORKSHOP :
Rehabilitation engineering is an interdisciplinary area of research and technology development that has the potential to revolutionized health care techniques of locomotor disability and also improve the quality of Life. Many organizations are coming up in this research field to make new aids and develop new technology for the people with loco motor disability. Recent advances in Computer aided design, digital imaging, software engineering, biomedical engineering, material science and fabrication technologies have significantly impacted the design, simulation and manufacturing.
TOPICS:
To identify the R&D area in orthopaedically disability
To select priority research activities
To identify capable research group
To take sponsored research project in the above field
To find out newer research work for higher academic interest
To design and develop R&D Assistive devices for OH category
To identify specific types of aids, appliances, hardware and software which need to be developed.
To spell out the technology need for developing these appliances
To identify designers/ research groups capable of undertaking these developments
To identify agencies/PSU/Industrial houses who could manufacture, produce the technology
To spell out the Govt./PSU/State organization for obtaining suitable materials, prototype making
