Students go on a culinary journey SCHOOL NOTES - Bangalore

The Consumer Club of Florence Public School, R.T. Nagar, was inaugurated recently. Chef Sendhil from Cookie Man demonstrated how to make cookies in a microwave oven. A contest was then held to test the knowledge among the 60-member consumer club. Vignesh and Aleem Pasha emerged the winners. Both were selected to participate in the next level of the competition.

The programme was part of Cookie Man Best Bakers Contest . Principal Abida presided over the programme. Badruddin, secretary of the club, proposed the vote of thanks.

Jamboree

Eleven students of The Oxford Senior Secondary School (CBSE) and The Oxford English School (ICSE), J.P. Nagar participated in the 21st World Scout Jamboree held at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Britain.

The Scout Association of the United Kingdom commemorated “The Centenary Celebration of Scout Movement” and over 40,000 Scouts and leaders from 187 countries participated in the jamboree.

Interact Club

The members of the Interact Club of Sri Jnanakshi Vidyaniketan, Rajarajesjwari Nagar was held recently. Sujay Ravi was elected the president of the club and in his acceptance speech, he said that they will take up the “Each One Teach One” project and they would maintain the cleanliness of the school premises.

Rajendra Rai, Governor of Rotary District 3190 told the members to adopt an underprivileged school and extend help to the children studying there.

Administrator K. R. Dwarakanath welcomed the gathering.

Secretary of the school Hayagreevachar and principal Nagarathna Dwarakanath and Rotarians K. P. Nagesh, Ravindra, Sartish Madhavan and G. S. R. Raman were present. Interactor Sparsha Jayasimha proposed the vote of thanks.
