Bhel written test
Hi,today on 29/11/2009 i undergone written test for engineer trainee conducted by BHEL in KANPUR.IT is a NAVRATNA company.
BHEL is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related/infrastructure sector, today. BHEL was established more than 40 years ago, ushering in the indigenous Heavy Electrical Equipment industry in India - a dream that has been more than realized with a well-recognized track record of performance.
The test contains 240 questions(120 techanical+120 aptitute).for every correct answer +1 for wrong answer -1.There were 5 options for every questions.in aptitute section there was English,Maths,Reasoning.In TECHANICAL QUESTION WERE FROM FLUID,THEORY OF MACHINE,MACHINE DESIGN,ENGINEERING MATERIAL & MATERIALS,CPM,STRENGTH OF MATERIALS ETC.In this test time management is very important.
Some of questions that i remember are-
1)Two helical springs of spring constant K1 and K2 are in series find equilant K.
2)find the ration of section modulus when a simply supported square beam is keep as its to side parallel & when diagonal is vertical.
3)In which type og welding consumable electrode is used-
4)Thermit welding is type of welding
5)CPM is method-
6)Which of following is lower pair
7)one question on counter flow heat exchanger effectiveness
8)In a fin of which material the tip will have minimum temperature
9)Nusselt number for free convection is function of-
