Sardar Patel College of Engineering is one of the best engineering colleges in Maharashtra and also in Mumbai city. The institute is affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is situated in Andheri(west) in Mumbai. It takes around 10-15 minutes walking from the Andheri railway station.It is popular by name: Bhavans and S.P.C.E. This college have two divisions Govt. Aided and Unaided. Aided section called SPCE ,covers the Mechanical, Electrical and Civil branches. Unaided section called SPIT, covers the IT, Computers, Electronics, Electronics-Tele communications branches. S.P.C.E. offers the following courses for Under Graduates and Post graduates. Mechanical Engineering(Ph D. in Mechanical) Code of Conduct: Smoking is strictly not allowed inside the campus. Identity card is compulsary for entry. Bikes and cars are allowed but have to park outside campus. Mobile phones can be used inside the campus( but in the silent mode). Teaching: The Professors , assistant professors and other staff are very experienced.They also follow the code of conduct of the college. Along with the academic help to students , the professors also provide them guidance for the further studying options. Infrastructure: The college have three main buildings: 1. Aided section. 2. Unaided section. 3. New building (under construction). Aided section has a medium level of infrastucture but the other building are well developed with facility of Lift. There are 2 conference halls and 1 seminar halls both air-conditioned. and one big plain area in the center of college called as "Quad". Fee Structure: The fees for Civil, Mechanical and electrical(including the M.E.) branches is Rs. 24000.00 and for the other branches its Rs. 44000.00 Fees consession is given to students from backward caste and Economically weak. Library: SPCE is a treasure house of knowledge comprises ever growing collection of around 44,000 books and 3,500 bound volumes of journals both national and international. Well organized in the 6000 Sq. Ft. Area, where more than 150 users can sit at a time and they are monitored by CCTV Cameras. Internet net facility is available for students from Monday to Friday at 10.00am to 8.00pm. Canteen: A wide range of food is available here in this canteen.Canteen is open in general from 08:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. It is famous for his fast food. Sports: A range of Indoor and Outdoor games are played in the campus playground.College have teams for games like tennis, volleyball, basket ball,table tennis,cricket and football. There are annual competition for carrom and chess games. Ambience: The environment is very natural with lots of trees and one temple and a lake and also there are yoga classes for the interested ones. Hostel: Hostel is available for the students from long distances. There are around 300 rooms and in each room 3 students are alloated. There is a food mess for the hostel students.
