, Chennai Review Introduction Queensland is one of the best amusement parks available in Chennai and offers variety of scintillating rides both for kids as well as the thrill-lovers. They have over 50 rides that are included in the entrance fee for adults and children. Entry Fee per head is Rs.350/- .This amusement park is open from 10 AM to 6.30 PM on weekdays and closes an hour later on weekends. Mondays are their weekly holidays.
This amusement park is located on the Chennai Bangalore trunk road and approximately it shall take 45 minutes drive from Chennai. The park is spread over a very large area of 70 acres. It reckons with the best global standards. The splendor of the park mainly lies in its well-planned ambience and layout compatible to any given international standards.
Rides
The main attraction in Queensland is the India’s longest cable car drive covering nearly 1.5km in 30 mins.
The next thing I liked most is the Himalayan water ride which covers a distance of half-a kilometer at a stretch filled with lots of fun. There are many other water slides and full/half twisters attached to the water pool.
There is ride called “free fall tower”, which is one of the tallest towers in south East Asia. This ride is meant only for adults and fairly grown ups. We felt the floating sensation while going up and coming down. It goes to a height of 150 feet.
We had a longest train track ride with a surprise fun tunnel intercepting. It travels at a maximum speed of 15km/h. We are also allowed to stop In three stations to watch the fun of other rides. The track distance is 3km.
We had a family boating and Queensland possess a very large boating area. It has high/low speed mechanized boats. There is also an island created inside the lake which adds to its beauty. But, recently the boat ride here has been the talk of the town for wrong reasons. Also we had few other scintillating drives like Centrox, space journey, dragon fly, joker, mini jet et jet etc..
Food You are not allowed to carry any eatables inside and the rates at the restaurants are quiet reasonable and quality of food served was okay. But I did not like the maintenance part of the restaurant. You have both veg & non-veg joints.
Travel It is advisable to travel by own means of communication rather than depending upon the public transport here, since the place is located in very isolated place.
Conclusion But I can vouch that the money and day is worth spending here and if time permits will definitely revisit this place. This place is really worth spending our valuable time with the near and dears.
