About Don Bosco School,Liluah
My school is one of the best known schools in the entire district of Howrah and the city of Kolkata. We have the biggest campus with two large playgrounds and is equipped with latest technology. The teaching staff is excellent. It can be proved from the fact that the result of our school in board examination have always been cent percent. This year we had almost 94 students of class XII scoring above 90 percent out of 176.The students are given adequate facilities to display their talents. We have also received various awards from the Telegraph newspaper regarding discipline and performance in co-curricular activities. Our school also runs free night school for underprivileged children and always contribute for the people affected with natural disasters. There are 13 clubs in our school run by students who coordinate various events. The teachers are very frank and friendly. We have the provision of filtered water and a big library for the industrious students. I feel very proud to call myself a true 'Bosconian'
The school recently won the "Telegraph Award for the Best school Of the year". It also won four other certificates for the brilliant academic performance.
On 13 August, the LTS youth group of the school celebrated the 64th Independence Day. The day saw the Sit and Draw competition in which about 428 Bosconians took active part. However, the most awaited performance was from the members of EZCC. They performed three dances namely-Bihu, Chhau and Shambalpuri dance.
Sister Jomy was elected the new assistant vice principal of the school.
