    In view of the revision of rates of TA/DA to the personnel engaged for Election duty ordered as per the G.O
    read above, the State Election Commission(Kerala)is pleased to fix the following rate of remuneration to staff deployed on polling/
    Counting duty.

    Presiding Officers / Counting Supervisors Rs. 250/-
    Polling Officers / Counting Assistants Rs. 175/-
    Class IV Rs. 100/-

    (Per day or Part thereof)

    1)The above rates are payable to the staff for attending training classes, collecting polling materials etc. and
    also for attending duty on the Polling day / Counting day. These rates will come into force prospectively
    and is applicable to byelections and General Election 2010 and will have no retrospective effect.
    2) The staff deployed at all polling stations/counting centres shall be provided with packed lunch and or light
    refreshment at the rate of Rs.100/- per head per day. In case of difficulty in providing packed lunch, a cash
    payment at the rate of Rs.100/- per head shall be made.
    3) The expenditure will be debited to the head of account “2015-00-109-99-34-OC”.
