About Banaras Hindu University

Banaras Hindu University is one of the best universities of Uttar Pradesh,India. The university is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Banaras Hindu University caters the educational needs of students belonging to Varanasi and Uttar Pradesh. It has more than 24,000 students which makes it the ralgest residential university in Asia. It was established under the BHU Act 1915 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malvia in 1916. The campus has spread across whooping 1350 acres of land. It has two campuses, 3 institutes, 16 faculties, 140 departments, 4 advanced centers and 4 interdisciplinary schools.

It offers various graduate and post graduate programmes in almost all fields to the students. Banaras Hindu University admission notification releases in the month of May/June. Admissions are based completely on the performance of the students in entrance tests conducted by the university. Banaras Hindu University exams are conducted twice in a year.
