Barkatullah University
Barkatullah University is one of the best universities of Madhya Pradesh, India. The university is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Barkatullah University caters the educational needs of students belonging to Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 1970 with the name 'Bhopal University'. In 1988, the current name was adopted in the memory of great freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah. Its campus has spread across 360 acres along Jabalpur-Jaipur National highway. The jurisdiction of this university is limited to Bhopal, Sehore , Vidisha , Raisen , Hoshangabad, Harda , Betul, and Rajgrah districts.
It offers various graduate and post graduate programmes in Arts, Social Science, Science, Life Science, Home Science, Medicine, Commerce and Business Management, Law, Engineering, Education and Technical Education to the students. Barkatullah University admission notification releases in the month of May/June. You need to appear in the entrance test followed by interview for post graduate programmes and graduate programmes in Engineering. Barkatullah University distance education programme is available for them who cannot attend the classes regularly but want to study further. Barkatullah University exams are conducted twice in a year. Provision for revaluation is also available. Its library has a large volume of books and journals to provide the knowledge to the students. It encourages students to join NSS to develop personality of students through community service. Psychological counselling cell is there to counsel the students.
