About Vidya Academy of Science And Technology
Vidya Academy of Science & Technology (VAST) is a self financing engineering college in Kerala affiliated to University of Calicut. The college was established by the Vidya International Charitable Trust also known as VICT which is established by thousands of Non Resident Keralites who have settled in the Arab and Gulf states. Vidya Academy of Science & Technology is situated in 30 acres of lush green land outside the Thrissur city limits. The serene atmosphere here complements the academic life.

Admission in Vidya Academy of Science & Technology
The minimum criteria for B.Tech admission is a pass in +2 with 50% marks for Math separately and 50% marks for Physics, Chemistry & Math/Computer science/Biology/Bio-Technology put together. The candidate should also be ranked in the Common Entrance examination. Candidates having 50% marks for Diploma course are also eligible for admission in Vidya Academy of Science & Technology. Half of the total B.Tech seats are filled by Government from the entrance rank list and the remaining by the college under NRI & Management quota. Candidates seeking admission for M.C.A must have passed a Bachelor's degree with 50% marks in mathematics. The college does not accept any Capitation/Donation for admission.
Facilities & Activities
Vidya Academy of Science & Technology,Thrissur provides state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. The three blocks constitute the college building. The fully automated library has a collection of more than 13,000 books.Separate hostels are provided for boys & girls with Food, T.V, Internet & Laundry facility. A branch of Indian Overseas Bank is functioning in the campus. Vidya Academy of Science & Technology provides transportation facility to its students and teachers.

The Vidya Academy of Science & Technology is located in Kaiparambu, on Thrissur - Guruvayoor highway. The college is easily accessible by public transport as the campus is located only two kms away from Kaiparambu, the central point between Thrissur and Guruvayoor. The nearest railway station(Thrissur) is at 16 kms away from the college.
