About P A College of Engineering
P.A College of Engineering, Mangalore was founded in the year 2000 under the PACE Educational Trust Group. Under the trust, there are three institutions developed, First one is PA College of Engineering, second one is the Centre for Management Studies and Research, and the third one is the Polytechnic college. Totally there are over 3000 students studying in these different institutions. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and it is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The college is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The different courses offered in the college are in the fields of engineering, as well as MBA, Diploma and Research programs.
Facilities The classrooms are ventilated and designed well. Good computer labs are given to students and the staff, with training given for managing the software and hardware properly. The labs are well connected and network-enabled through a centralized server room with 50Mbps BSNL line. The library is centralized having a good collection of journals and periodicals. The college promotes extracurricular activities. Indoor and outdoor facilities are provided in the campus.
The hostel facilities are separate for boys and girls. The rooms are well furnished and have washrooms, kitchens and spacious rooms. Professional staff manage the kitchen and provide good hygienic food. Staff wardens and resident wardens monitor the activities of the students. A prayer hall and uninterrupted power supply and water are provided in the hostel rooms.
Transportation from the college is provided with 20 buses to different routes in Surathkal and Mangalore for all students and the staff. Reasonable charges are taken for the bus service. Separate bus for girls is provided for their safe travel.
There is a Vijaya Bank extension in the campus and ATM services are provided by the bank. A well-equipped gymnasium is provided in the campus for staff and students.
In order to eliminate ragging from the campus, there is an anti-ragging committee formed in the college to monitor the activities of the students. Placement and training cells are also there to guide the students to get placed in top companies in different industries.
