About Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering
JNTU college of engineering Vizianagaram, is a constituent college of JNTU Kakinada, established in the year 2007. It is situated 6 kms away from Vizianagaram town on a hillock over a sprawling area of 90 acres along Vizianagaram-Gajapathinagaram road surrounded by a scenic view of mountain ranges enduing a serene atmosphere for learning amidst lush green vegetation. It offers 4 year b.tech courses in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Electrical, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.
Jntu,kakinada,vizianagaram campus is newly built in the year 2008 at a hill-lock area of vizianagarm an half an hour drive from vizianagarm Railway station.
The campus is spread in an area of 100 acer and now an additional of 200 acer of government land behind the administrative block was alloted on August 20th,2010 officially. Hostels for both girls and boys are available for distant people. Labs of every department were fully equipped and mechanical labs were developed with a budget of Rs.60 crore. The campus is going to be turned into research in science and technology in next few years, so as to compete the education with IIT standards.
Faculty are from both from kakinada and hyderabad campuses.
