About Annie Besant Women’s College
|Annie Besant Women's College was established in 1994 at Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. The college is affiliated to Osmania University. Named after and drawing inspiration from Annie Besant, the famous British socialist, women's rights activist, and educationist, all combined into one, the college has been consistently guiding its students in making a mark for themselves in their later lives.|
Annie Besant College is a day college. There aren't any hostel facilities for outstation students. The streams offered here are science and commerce. The major subjects in the science stream are physics, mathematics, computer science, statistics, electronics, data science, chemistry, clinical nutrition & dietetics, microbiology, botany, zoology, and biotechnology. Whereas, in the commerce stream the subjects are computer application and business administration. The courses offered here are at the undergraduate level and their duration is 3 years. The college has well-equipped laboratories for all its science disciplines and a well-stocked library as well. The timings for the college are 9 am to 3 pm.
Placements Among the major sectors, where the students of Annie Besant College are mostly placed are the IT sector, banking & finance, insurance, marketing, telecom, pharmacy, and various service organizations. Some of the popular tech companies, where the students have been placed in recent years are Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Genpact, Cape Gemini, Cognizant, and ICICI.
Admission details For admission at Annie Besant Women's College, prospective students have to obtain the prospectus and application form from the college reception office by paying the requisite fee. They may also submit an online inquiry form by providing their name, contact details, and the course that they are interested in. The inquiry form is available on the main page of the college website itself.
After collection of the application form, the candidates have to submit the duly filled form along with the admission fee at the college office. Parents have to give consent by duly signing the form. The fee once paid is non-refundable. Admission will be provisional until the verification of the relevant documents of the candidate.
