Sankardev Mahavidyalaya : The Saint of Assam : Sankardev Mahavidyalaya is situated in Pathalipahar, Lakhimpur, Assam in the name of the Saint Sankardeva of Assam under Dibrugarh University.
The environment of the college is very beautiful, because the college is situated on the top of the Pathalipahar Hill and it is covered with the scenic beauty of the hill.
The college has its own buildings in both administrative and academic buildings. Besides it has a lot of buildings with hostels etc. There are mainly two streams in the college i.e. Arts & Science. The college is mainly famous for its Geography Department.
The college results is also very good from last few years. The students from the Geography department also keep a very good result in the college.
The laboratory isnot so good in the college, but it is going to improve. The canteen facility is also available but not so good.
The college has a minimum of 1,200 students. The students maintain good sincereity inside and outside of the college. The communication facility is also good to the college by bus.
Now a days, due to lack of a good teaching method and experienced level of teachers the college lost students.
