About Chandigarh College Of Architecture
The Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) was established on 7th August 1961 and gives the main thrust on Architectural Design. The important factor regarding success of college is that they trains the students by exposing them to live problems, situation and circumstances.
Faculty
Faculty consists of 23 members including the principal. Out of 23, seven faculty members are on contract basis. But college strong backup of visiting faculties that comprises of professionals.
Infrastructure
1) Library: College has well furnished library where there are 17000 volumes of the architecture field. Teaching aids like audio and videocassettes are also available
2) Computer center: Computer center have ample computers for students which are loaded with the latest software.
3) Workshops: It helps students to have hand on experience to the real world. The workshop is equipped with machines, tools and materials of carpentry, black smithy, model making, painting and polishing etc.
Academics
College has 10 semester course which is further divided into two parts. Stage One is from the first semester to the sixth semester, awarding the Degree of Bachelor of Building Science and Stage Two is from the seventh semester to the tenth Semester, awarding the degree of Bachelor of Architecture.
Placements
College offers good placements to the students and before completing their degrees most of them have jobs in their hands.
