Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, Kollam is commonly known as TKM college of Engineering. It was the first Government Aided Technical institution in the private sector in Kerala. The college was established in the year 1958 and is affiliated to University of Kerala (Kerala University). TKM College of Engineering is one of the most preferred engineering college by the engineering aspirants. The college was started by Thangal Kunju Musaliar who was a pioneer business man.

Admission to TKM College of Engineering Admission to the B.Tech courses are based on the rank in Common Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by the Govt. Of Kerala & M.Tech course is based on the rank in GATE exam. Candidate should also score min. 50 % marks in Higher secondary Examination for B.Tech admission.
Facilities The infrastructure of TKM College of Engineering are amongst the best in Kerala. It includes separate labs for each department, a large library, a common computing & browsing centre, Campus Medical Centre, Counseling Centre, Placement Centre, Canteen, Basketball, Tennis and Volleyball court, Indoor Badminton Court,Football cum Cricket Ground etc. The college houses fully equipped labs & Library. The automated library is rich with more than 70,000 books & around 100 journals. The college provides hostel facility to the students. The hostel can accommodate 500 boys & 250 girls. Also, there is a separate hostel for foreign students.
How to Reach TKM College of Engineering is situated at Karicode near Kollam (Quilon) in southern Kerala. The college is easily accessible by road since a number of KSRTC as well as private buses run through this route. There is a small railway station named Kilikollur near to this place. The major Railway station is Kollam. The nearest airport is Thiruvananthapuram which is 70 km away from the college.
