About Y.Prabhakar Reddy College Of Engineering & Technology
Y.P.R College of Engineering & Technology is established in 2001-2002 Academic Year at Medak with the approval of A.I.C.T.E and Government of A.P. under JNTU affiliation by YBR Educational society Begumpet, Hyderabad. It is referred as YBRM for the purpose of admissions for Engineering at engineering counseling.
It's a place of learning that imparts value-based information and has a total annual intake of 240 students tutored by well-qualified teachers and supported by dedicated non-teaching staff. Situated at a distance of 80 kms from Hyderabad. Presently campus spans an area of 35 acres with 7,000 sq.mts. built in area and will be expanded in a phased manner to 12,000 sq.mts. in 60 acres in near future. The Institute possesses the entire necessary infrastructure with adequate buildings and well equipped laboratories, advanced instruments, software tools and a spacious library with over 7,000 volumes and will be increased as per the need.
YBRM was started it's courses on Nov. 7th, 2001 with a student strength of 150 in 3 B.Tech. courses. The Founder and Chairman of the Society is Shri Y.Prabhakar Reddy.
At present the Institute is offering 4 year Engineering Degree courses in Four branches, The facilities at YPR College are equipped with latest technology and constantly endeavoring to improve the same by modernization on a consistent basis. It is decided to develop exclusive lab for improving Communications Skills through the Phonetic and English Language Lab.
The Institute provides basic facilities like separate hostels for boys and girls. Institute also provides transport facility for the day scholars coming from Twin cities. Presently the Institute offers three buses from different parts of the city.
The Management has decided to start software development activity at the college premises as a separate department to provide hands on experience to students to get exposure to latest softwares, which is required for their professional careers
