Affiliation: It is affiliated to affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) since 2004.
About the Institute: The AIIH&PH provides courses in various disciplines in the health and related sciences. It is the oldest school of public health in South-East Asia region. There are 11 academic departments and 2 field practice units, each controlled by a Professor and Head of the Department / Officer-In-Charge. All the departments provide facilities for research in various health and allied sciences, such as Bio-Chemistry and Nutrition, Public Health Administration, etc.
Campus: The main campus of the Institute is located in the central part of Kolkata. It houses the academic depts, labs and lecture halls, with hostels nearby. Second campus of the Institute is located at JC 27 and JC 27B, Sector III, Salt Lake, Kolkata. This is still in the developing stages at present.
