About Jalpaiguri Law College
Founded in 1981, Jalpaiguri Law College is the only law college in the district of Jalpaiguri as well as in neighbouring Cooch Behar. Located in Jalpaiguri town in West Bengal, the college has been instrumental in fulfilling the aspirations of the students from the region in gaining legal education. A government aided college, it provides for two 5-year integrated courses, a B.A. LLB General course and a B.A. LLB Honours course.
For infrastructure, the college has a spacious library with a seating capacity for around 80 students. It has a collection of more than 7000 titles, including some 1400 reference books and a subscription to around 20 journals. With an open access system, students and faculty have unlimited access to the services of the library.
Admissions For admissions, candidates have to apply online. While applying online, the candidate will have to upload a passport-sized photograph, signature, 10+2 mark sheet and date of birth certificate. SC, ST and OBC candidates, desirous of availing reservations, need to submit their caste certificate. Candidates from an education board other than that of West Bengal will have to submit a migration certificate. An application fee of Rs 250/- is to be paid online. Admissions are based on performance in 10+2 and the merit list will be displayed on the college website. - Dhruv
