About Mehr Chand Polytechnic College

Mehr Chand Polytechnic College was established way back in 1954 in the sacred and sweet memory of Lala Mehr Chand Ji under the aegis of DAV College Managing Committee , New Delhi. It is privately managed , Govt. Aided Institution affiliated to Punjab State Board of Tech. Edu. and Indl. Trg. Chandigarh. It has completed 50 years of dedicated service to the Nation and has also celebrated its " GOLDEN JUBILEE". During the year 2002-2003, this Polytechnic was adjudged as " Best Polytechnic" in Punjab by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh , on account of Institute's excellent performance in all the sphere i.e. academic, sports and co-curricular activities
