|A R College Of Pharmacy & G H Patel Institute Of Pharmacy was established in 1982 and presently offers Diploma, UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in the Pharmacy stream. It is approved by AICTE-New Delhi and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This college is affiliated with Gujarat Technical University (GTU).|
FacilitiesFor practical learning of the subjects, the college is having a good number of well-equipped laboratories like Industrial Pharmacy lab., Central Instrumentation facility, Pharmaceutical Technology lab., Microbiology and Aseptic Processing, Medical Chemistry lab., Quality Assurance lab., Anatomy, Physiology & health education lab., Clinical Pharmacy lab., and Natural Product lab.
The college is also having a spacious library where the computer, printer, scanner, and photocopying facilities are also provided. There is a good collection of books, about 18000 in numbers, and various national and international journals and periodicals are subscribed.
AdmissionsThe eligibility for admission to the various courses is as under -
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm) - The candidate should have passed in Higher Secondary in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics subjects. The candidate should also qualify in the Gujarat GUJCET test and get a good score in it as that will be considered for merit for admission. GUJCET is a common entrance test for admission to the engineering and pharmacy colleges of Gujarat. Students from Gujarat as well as outside Gujarat can appear in it.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) - The interested candidates should have at least 35% marks in their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics subjects. They also need to qualify in GUJCET with a good score to secure admission to this course.
- Master in Pharmacy (M Pharm) - The candidates seeking admission in this course should have a B Pharm degree with a minimum of 55% (for SC /ST / SEBC / EWS categories 50%) marks. They have also to qualify for the Gujarat PGCET test exam with a good score.
