About Dr. Daulatrao Aher College of Engineering Karad
Dr. Daulatrao Aher College of Engineering (DACOE) was established in 2008 by Shri G. K. Gujar Memorial Charitable Trust in Karad, Maharashtra. This trust was established in the memory of the freedom fighter late Shri. G.K. Gujar (Bhai Gujar). The institute is approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, DTE, Mumbai, and the Government of Maharashtra. The Institute is affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The main objective of the college is to provide quality education in the field of engineering. The institute offers courses in various streams like Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science engineering, and Basic Science & Humanities.
The central library of the college has over 17000 Printed Books, National and International Journals, video lectures from IIT, Magazines, Project Reports, Newspapers, and a reading room with a capacity of 700 students. The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls with all general facilities like canteen, power backup, spacious rooms, uninterrupted water supply, security, etc. The college has a spacious cafeteria with modern furniture accommodating more than 100 students at a time. The college has an auditorium for sessions and conferences with seating arrangement for 230 persons. There are facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
