About A P Shah Institute of Technology
A. P. Shah Institute of Technology is run by Parshvanath Charitable Trust (PCT). It offers UG courses in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical engineering, CSE Data Science, and CSE AI & ML. It has a total capacity of about 700 students for these courses.
The rules and regulations for eligibility and admission for a particular course are as per Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra / University of Mumbai. Fees charged us approved by Fee Regulating Authority (FRA), Government of Maharashtra.
Library facilityInstitute is having a library having 22000 plus books covering engineering, science, social science, humanities, and general categories. There are a good number of reference books, encyclopedias, question papers of University of Mumbai, video lectures, CDs, journals & magazines (both national and international), newspapers, etc.
Institute has also subscribed to some reputed e-libraries like Pearson India Education Pvt. Ltd, McGraw-Hill Education India Pvt. Ltd, and National Digital Library of India (NDL).
Eligibility for 1st year engineering coursesThe candidates should have one of the following qualifications (A or B or C) for applying for engineering courses.
(A) HSC with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational Subjects. They should have obtained at least 45% marks in HSC (40% in case of Backward class or persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only). They should also have valid scores in CET.
(B) Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of backward class or persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
(C) B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of backward class or disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
Eligibility for direct admission to 2nd year Engineering courses (lateral entry)The candidates should have one of the following qualifications (A or B).
(A) Diploma in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class or Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from any institution approved by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government.
(B) B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class or Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only). Candidates should had Mathematics as a subject in their HSC course. These candidates if admitted will be required to clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with their second year subjects. - Neeru Bhatt
