About K.L. D.A.V. P.G. Degree College
Spread over an area of 6 acres and located in the city center of Roorkee, State of Uttarakhand, India, KLDAV (PG) College is a leading institution for Post-Graduate Studies. Rai Sahib Kanhaiya Lal Ji, a renowned philanthropist of Roorkee, founded the institute in 1960. The institute got recognition from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand. Institute is accredited by NAAC. Although it is popular as a science college as it offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the science stream, it also offers a B.Ed. Degree course.
The college campus is full of greenery. The student can feel nature's beauty here. Teachers are well educated, knowledgeable, and supportive. The internal quality control system has been developed by the college and grievance redressal cell is also there in the college for students and teachers.
InfrastructureThe institute has a good infrastructure with good facilities. Laboratories such as physics, chemistry, botany, zoology labs have all the necessary equipment. Zoology and botany labs have enough specimens, models, other needed objects and material practical, etc. All the classrooms are well-ventilated and have good seating arrangements. A well-equipped library has a large collection of books. A large parking area is also available inside and outside of the college. Additional facilities like Canteen/Mess facilities, Medical facilities, Computer labs, are also available here. The college does not have hostel facilities.
Sports FacilitiesTo improve the general health of the students, the college has also developed sports centers which include sports facilities and equipment for several sports like badminton, table tennis, basketball, football, chess, cricket, etc. Big playgrounds are available to play these sports. Apart from these, a gymnasium is also established in the college for the use of the students and the college staff. National Service Scheme (NSS) is also available in the college.

| AdmissionsThe candidates desirous of taking admission in UG courses should have passed 10+2 (H.S.) in the same subject group in which they are applying in UG and the general and OBC candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks and SC/ST candidates should have obtained at least 40% marks in their 10+2 (H.S.). Additional marks as per the rules and regulations will be added to the candidate's marks for National level sports proficiency, NCC 'B' and 'C' certificate, Scouting, and wards of defense personals and freedom fighters before making the merit list for admissions. A detailed brochure and information booklet (prospectus) in this regard are available on the college website.
For PG courses the candidates having obtained their UG degree can apply for the required course by submitting the application online and depositing the hard print copy along with necessary documents in the concerned department in the college.
B.Ed. admissions and its entrance exam are advertised and coordinated by the H. N. Bahuguna Garhwal University and depending upon the list of the selected candidates the intake of students (50 seats) would be taken by this college.
The interested candidates for admissions have to click on the online admission button available on the homepage of the college website and register in it and then fill the online application form and upload the necessary documents and take a hard print copy of that and then attach all the required documents like self-attested copies of mark sheets, date of birth certificate, Aadhar card, migration certificate if applicable, TC and character certificate, reserve category certificate if applicable and submit it in the concerned department and make the payment of the admissible registration and admission fee in the college before the respective closing date of applying for admission in the college in that particular academic year. Those students who have applied in more number of courses should make the more number of sets of these for depositing in the concerned departments. Admissions will be made on a merit basis and at the time of final admission, the candidate will have to produce all the original documents that he had mentioned and had attached with the application form.
