About Aditya Institute Of Technology
Aditya Institute of Technology (AIT) is a polytechnic institute in Delhi offering diploma education in a number of disciplines. It has been set up in the year 1995 by the Dr. RN Gupta Technical Educational Society, which has under it a number of engineering, pharmacy, law and management colleges. The institute is duly approved by the AICTE and is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education (BTE), Govt. of Delhi. It is also a member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) that helps it remain in touch with the latest trends in the field of technology and education. The institute is located close to Vasant Kunj, a posh locality in South Delhi. The location of the institute is a prime one, as it is well served by en route buses and Metro services.
Infrastructure and facilities The disciplines that are offered at AIT are Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, IT Enabled Services & Management and Medical Laboratory Technology.
As per details published on the institute website, it is amongst the best equipped polytechnic institutes in Delhi. It has an adequate number of trained faculty. It has facilities like a modern library with seating arrangements, computer center, electronics lab, communication lab, microwave lab, electrical lab, digital lab, mechanical & electrical workshops and a number of medical labs. A seminar hall with audio-video facilities and a seating capacity of around 70 is available at the institute for cultural events, seminars and conferences.
Apart from providing good technical education, the institute focuses on improving the soft skills of the students, an integral part of today's fiercely competitive job market. Other aspects like taking the students for educational tours and industrial visits; attending seminars, both technical and non-technical type; conduct of workshops and short term training programs are part of the training process. A separate training & placement cell conducts mock interviews and group discussions to prepare the students for placements. Some of the students are even sponsored to participate in job fairs organized by the Dept. of Training & Technical Education (DTTE), Govt. of NCT, Delhi.
For the less privileged section of the society, like those from the SC/ST/OBC category and the less educated, the institute offers a community development scheme. Under this scheme, both boys and girls are provided vocational training to make them self-reliant. The financial assistance for the scheme is provided by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
Admissions For admissions to the 3-year full-time programs, aspiring candidates have to appear for a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by DTTE. Further, admissions are done either through central counseling or management quota. 10% of the seats are filled through the management quota.
For regular candidates, the minimum eligibility criteria are 10/10+2 with minimum of 35% marks.
