About Baba Mehar Singh Memorial College of Education
This college is under the management of the society Baba Mehar Singh Memorial College, Purana Shalla, Gurdaspur and is affiliated to G.N.D.U. Amritsar.
FacilitiesThe college has its own examination center and a door to door bus facility for students and staff. The whole campus is having Wi-Fi connection and students can access the internet from any part of the campus. The infrastructure includes a library equipped with advanced facilities and an excellent collection of books, separate laboratories for different disciplines and medical facilities on the campus.
In spite of providing all the advanced facilities, the college does not charge any caution money with its fees, which is a big support to parents.
ScholarshipsThe college is offering scholarships to the students. These scholarships are basically of 2 types - one is government-funded for SC/ST, Minority and BC/OBC students and another one is by the college which includes below mentioned categories.
- Students with only a surviving father or mother can get 20% concession in tuition fee.
- Students having special skills in music, sports or any other activity can get 20% concession in tuition fee.
- If siblings are studying in the college, they will get a 20% concession in tuition fee.
- All the girl students are eligible for 10% concession in tuition fee.
