About Solapur Education Society's Polytechnic, Solapur
Solapur Education Society's Polytechnic, Solapur, known as S.E.S. Polytechnic, was established by the Solapur Education Society in 1984. This institute for technical education is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai. Affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai, the Polytechnic has a Training and Placement Cell that offers In-Plant Training opportunities and assists students in getting placements with reputed companies. Students have got employment opportunities at L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hirschvogel Components India, Eaton Fluid Power Ltd., etc. Meritorious students can avail of scholarships that are offered by the institute and by the State Govt.
S. E. S. Polytechnic Campus Infrastructure In addition to the spacious classrooms, S. E. S. Polytechnic, Solapur has laboratories and workshops for various technical programs, namely, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc. The library is well-stocked with MSBTE-prescribed reference books and journals on technical subjects, access to digital library facilities, and a separate reading room. Other infrastructure includes administrative offices, a language lab, a computer centre, a medical room with first-aid facilities, an auditorium, a drawing hall, a cafeteria, separate common rooms for boys and girls, etc.
