About Acharya Sri Chander College of Medical Science
Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences was started in the year 1969 and is affiliated to the University of Jammu. People inspired by the teachings of Jagat Guru Shri Chander Ji Maharaj formed a society named Shri Chander Chinar Bada Akhara Udasin Society and this society started the medical college in Sidhra, Jammu.
Infrastructure The college is having all the facilities required for a medical college, including lecture theatres, and demonstration rooms in each department of the college. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls as well.
Advanced laboratories in each department are the main attraction of this college. A fully equipped library and a recreation room with various indoor-outdoor games facilities, playgrounds, and a gym are also available on the campus/ Apart from all these, there is a big auditorium with a sitting capacity of around 500 seats and a hospital with 510 beds. ICU and medical facilities for students and staff are also provided when required.
