About Patna Women's College

About the college
The college started in 1940 and is affiliated to Patna University. The college has a long history and being a women's college, it has paid its part in the growth of women society in and around Patna.

It has been accorded as ‘College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)' status from UGC. It has been also accredited by NAAC with ‘A' grade'.
The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and Semester System have been introduced in July 2018. This is the only college in the state to have taken this initiative for UG courses.

College Facilities
College facilities include A well-maintained library and a central research laboratory. The aims of this laboratory are to organize workshops for the students of other colleges and outreach programs for the students of Science Departments. The laboratory is also used to carry out research work for Ph.D. scholars and the undergraduate students can also carry out a research project under CPE and BSR schemes of UGC.

In sports activities, the college is providing special training for all athletics events and games events.
