About Govt. P.G. College
Govt PG College, Dwarahat is located in Dwarahat town in the district of Almora in Uttarakhand state. It is affiliated with Kumaun University, Nainital and offers UG/PG courses as well as some self-financing and professional courses. It has presently about 1000 students on roll.
FacilitiesThe college has got a library which has about 20000 books for the use and reference of the students. There is one book bank also having 2500 books for lending the same to students for a longer time.
For carrying out practical work the college is having well-equipped laboratories in the subjects of Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and computers.
Sports facilities are available in the college and students are encouraged to take part in that. Annual sports and games are organised and the select students are sent to participate in university-level sports championships.
There are many extracurricular activities undertaken by the students like National Cadet Corps (NCC), National Service Scheme (NSS), Rangers & Rovers, Cultural programmes, Debate competitions etc. The students are encouraged to take part in these activities which helps them in overall personality development. Under NCC scheme various camps are organised for the students who are NCC cadets. Under NSS scheme the students are exposed to community service and they also participate in health awareness camps for the benefit of people in the surrounding areas.
AdmissionsCandidates who are interested to take admission in this college are advised to visit the website of Kumaun University and register in that by mentioning their mobile number and email identity and select the college of their choice and fill the application form and upload the required documents. The list of candidates eligible for admission would be displayed on the university portal and the candidate will have to produce all the original documents for document verification in the concerned college before the final admission is allowed and the candidate is directed for depositing the fee.
