About Malwa College
Malwa College was started in 2001 through hard work and great efforts made by the Malwa Educational Society, Bathinda. The college campus is occupying around 7 acres of land and is very near to nature surrounded by greenery. It is affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala and is also approved by AICTE, New Delhi. It supports co-education and offers postgraduate level degree courses in different domains including computers, management, agriculture, commerce and humanities. Apart from academics, the college also offers proper guidance and opportunities in the field of sports, cultural development, industrial tours, etc.
FacilitiesThe college library is rich with more than 6000 volumes of books. Apart from text and reference books, it also has a good collection of latest technical books, magazines, journals, etc. The library offers a suitable environment to sit and study for students as well as staff.
The college also has well-set computer labs to support proper training for the students of graduate and postgraduate degree courses. These labs have a sufficient number of computers and all the required software.
The campus is having 24/7 Wi-Fi connectivity for students and staff members.
Then there is a Seminar hall for conducting various guest lectures, seminars, etc. This hall is equipped with all the latest equipment, projectors, etc.
The cafeteria of the college is a well-furnished place with a capacity of around 40-50 students at a time. This is a place, students prefer for talks, discussions, etc. There are separate sitting arrangements for boys and girls in this canteen.
To support the Agricultural students, there is an agriculture lab in the college. It is having all the latest instruments, chemicals, etc required by the students. Students learn through hands-on training and experiments in this lab.
The college also offers the proper sports facilities and the students are allowed to participate in various state and national level events related to sports. Students are also motivated by giving various cash prizes, concessions and sports kits to the students.
There is a transport facility for students coming from Bathinda and other nearby regions of Malwa. Students can also get a bus pass that is free for the students. All safety measures are taken care of by the respective authorities.
Clubs and AssociationsThe college has many clubs and associations with different purposes. The E-Buzz club focuses on the issues of students, articles, etc and also conducts workshops, guest lectures, discussions and quiz along with training for the students.
The programmers of the college have a Tech-Cloud Club. This club basically works to offer live projects to students and interacts with related industries and offices for the same.
The agriculture students have a Go Green Agri club that teaches about Vermicomposting, Organic farming, Kitchen gardening, etc. - Padmini
