Serampore College 
Serampore College was founded by the Serampore Trio: William Carey, Marshman and William Ward. The college is situated in the banks of river Hoogly in a beautiful campus facing the river. The college is connected well through public transport. The college which is 25 kms away from Calcutta can be reached by trains which are very frequent.
This is one of the best colleges in Serampore. Rev. Dr. Lalchungnunga is the principal of this college. The college has departments on Arts Science Commerce and Theology offering degrees in graduate and post-graduate levels. International students from Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Butan, also study in the college. Teaching staff are also from different parts of India which makes the college so special.
The College has a good infrastructure. Well furnished hostel facilities are available. Good and efficient infrastructure, well furnished libraries, spacious playground, good discipline, talented staff, etc are some of the positives Serampore College enjoys compared to the other colleges in and around Serampore.
