About the college S.D.G.S. Degree College (Aided) is located at Hindupur in Anantapur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a self-financing co-educational institute which was established in the year 1965. The college is affiliated to Sri Krishnadevaraya University and it got its affiliation in 1965. The college also offers scholarship to the students depending upon certain criteria.
College Overview S.D.G.S. College was established with a noble and generous intention to provide quality higher education to the students of Hindupur and nearby places who had to otherwise go to Bangalore for higher education till then. Since its inception, this college has been expanding its programmes and courses over the span of years. Now, there is a variety of courses, both traditional and modern that are being offered in this college.
Facilities The college contains many facilities such as one big auditorium, conference hall, indoor stadium, common room, computer lab, a separate room for girls, and many other student friendly features. The college also has a well-stocked library with a good collection of books, journals, and magazines. There is a collection of 43,408 books, 5 journals and 12 magazines. About 13 daily newspapers in English and Telugu are also available in the library for the students to read.
