The present address of the college is Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, South Ambazari Road, Nagpur, Maharashtra. India-440010. The pincode of that place is 440010 The official website of the college is http://www.vnit.ac.in/ The email Id to be contacted to know academic information is dr_acd@vnit.ac.in At present this college is not under Nagpur University. It has a Deemed university status now. The phone numbers of this college are 0712 - 2222828, 2224123, 2231636, 2226750, 2223710, 2236330, 2236331, 2236332. The fax numbers of the college are : 0712-2802200 ,2223230. Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology which was earlier known as 'Vishvesveraya Regional College of Engineering' was established in the year 1960 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Then Government picked up this college to make it as National Institute of Technology. Now it is one among the 30 NIT'S present in our country. This college is one of the top 15 engineering colleges in India. This college has a great infrastructure spreading over 214 acres and having good hostel facilities which have capacity of more than 1000 students. As this is the Government aided college, it provides best facilities to the students. It has a very good library. The students in this college will get very good placements in top multinational companies. To get admission in this college, one should score good marks in "All India Engineering Entrance Exam"(AIEEE) and it is the one and only way to join this college.
