About Aryan Institute of Engineering and Technology
About AIET, Yes, believe it or not, it was a dream of a person from a remotest village of Cuttack, District, in the state of Orissa, who was burning the midnight oil to read in the school days once, his enterprise mind took flights of imaginations and translated the dreams and visions into realty, today, bringing Aryan Institute of Engineering & Technology –the AIET before you all. The Institute is working hard to make its campus more energy efficient—and utilities are a big target.
To meet the challenge, AIET is harnessing the minds and hands of faculty, staff, and particularly students, engaging the entire community in the drive toward a more sustainable campus. Behavior changes are a big part of the solution. In the first year i.e. 2009, all are urged to cut their electricity use by 15 percent in the annual Electricity Competition, and efforts are under way to encourage everyone to turn out lights, fans, ACs, other electronic and electrical gadgets and employ computing power-management tools that save energy. All new buildings will much greener—at AIET. Our Institute policy calls for features of low-usage appliances, energy-efficient roofing materials, and storm water reuse system for landscape irrigation. AIET hasn't come up with one perfect solution to greening its campus—it has thrown down the gauntlet. Its impressive constituencies are rising to the occasion.
