About Trichy Engineering College

Trichy Engineering College was founded by Annai Santhiya Educational Health & Charitable Trust, Woraiyur, Trichirappalli with the permission of the Government of Tamil Nadu as per G.O.Ms.No 524(Education)dated 24.9.98. The Trust which is dedicated to the cause of promoting technical education as part of its philanthrophic scheme, purchased 57 acres of land in Konalai Village,22 KM away from Tiruchirappalli on the Chennai Trichirappalli Highway & established the College. The campus is named “Somu Nager". The College is approved by AICTE-New Delhi, recognized by Government of Tamil Nadu & affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and trichy.

I have completed my BE Electronics and communication engineering as lateral entry graduate in this college. I am from 2009-12 batch. In my college they gave first preference to discipline and education. They gave 80% result in all academic year. They gave rewards to the high scorer.It was a memorable experience for me over there

The First think i like this college.because here i pay very low fees for my engineering degree compared to other colleges. This college offered 5 courses. 1.computer science and engineering(B.E), 2.Information Technology(B.Tech), 3.Electronics And Communication Engineering(B.E), 4.Electrical and Electronics Engineering(B.E) 5.Mechanical Engineering(B.E) In this college the symposium for all department held on every ODD semester.Now all department has good lab facility.Especially for computer science students.Before two years The Internet Lab was very slow.But now 8MBPS speed and the computer is increased in the lab.This college has above 10 Buses. This college got 3rd place in University result on Trichy District.And the recent achievement is near 20 students placed in a software company.

Trichy Engineering College in my vision 4 out of 5

I am writing this review based on the experience which I have gathered over there in my academic years. It is a division of Mookambikai Engineering college which is also in Trichy. They are offering courses such as: Mechanical Engineering Electrical and Electronics Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering Computer Science and Information Technology From 2012 they started PG courses for the following majors: Communication Systems and Applied Electronics They always give first preference to discipline and studies. Its a combined educational institution but still they allow only reasonable conversation between boys and girls. Ragging is strictly punishable. I never faced any experience and any such kind of difficulties over there. I felt secure and the faculty members are kind and talented. They conduct 15 minutes tests every day. Bus services are available up to 60Kms from the college and the fees charged by them is also very reasonable. They follow a decent dress code for both boys and girls. It is one of the good institutions according to me. Like other colleges symposiums, cultural woman's day celebrations sports, NSS are there as a extra curricular activities. Compared to other institutions they wont give any assurance about placements but still they are guiding the talented students by conducting assessments. In my batch 30 students have been placed and 15 have been short listed by HCL, Infosys and WIPRO in off campus recruitment drive.
