Teerthanker Mahaveer College of Engineering in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh (India) is the latest being set up under the umbrella of Teerthanker Mahaveer University.
The Engineering College plans to keep the global technological advances in mind while formulating the syllabus.
The thrust area of the College would be to hone the skills of the students and attune them to the needs of the fiercely competitive corporate world.
The College would also offer integrated courses like M.Tech, M.B.A. and MCA on its platter keeping in mind the needs of the industry.
Part-time Master courses in Skill Upgradation would be made available.
While each department would be equipped to provide theoretical and practical knowledge, advanced laboratories, a central computer facility and a central library would act as the knowledge centre of the College. Students would be able to get the latest literature through e-journals to be made available in the library.
The College would make provision to get on board faculty members with extensive experience, and plans to tie up with IITs and leading colleges and universities – both at the national and international level – for students' exchange programmes.
The College will also focus on soft skill and additional industry-related joint programmes in tandem with reputed organisations like IBM, Oracle, Linux-Redhat, HCL Technologies, CISCO, etc., to ensure that the students get ready placement in the industry on completion of their respective courses.
The College also believes that there should be industry-academia interaction from time to time to benefit the student community at large.
