With nurses being in high demand, the Teerthanker Mahaveer University has established the College of Nursing to offer degree and diploma courses in nursing.
The College trains up nurses to become total professionals and meet the challenges emerging in the health care sector. The qualified and experienced full-time nursing faculty provides the right mix of inputs consisting of theoretical, practical and clinical experience.
The college enjoys an edge in terms of a strong foundation in medical education and also has a network of health care centres and clinical affiliations with community-based organisations and governmental agencies. The courses have been formulated in consultation with experts from the field.
Hands-on-training will be given to the students at the 599-bed multi-specialty hospital of the Nursing College located within the University campus, as well as in its urban and rural health centres. The trainee nurses can attend all the OPD sessions as well as the outreach programmes of Medical, Dental and Paramedical Science centres of the University.
Students of the Nursing College shall get the unique opportunity of interacting with the faculty, doctors and students of Medical, Dental and Management colleges for sharpening their technical and managerial skills and getting groomed up as competent nurses.
The students shall have access to study material available in different forms such as books, research journals, magazines, newspapers and CDs through the College library which is computerised and Internet connected.
