|Hindi Teacher's Training Institute is located in Cuttack in the state of Odisha. It provides 2 years B.H.Ed. course which is considered equivalent to B.Ed. The course gives academic as well as hands-on teaching experience to the candidates. |
The college is having a rich library having around 20,000 reference books of interdisciplinary subject areas. Books (maximum 3 books at a time) will be issued to the B.H.Ed. students for a period of 15 days. There is one reading room also in the library for the convenience of the students.
There is one girl's hostel in the college that can accommodate up to 100 girls at a time. The hostel is spaced in a 5 storey building with all the facilities for the girl's students.
Some scholarships are given to some poor students from the college. A few National Loan Scholarships are given by the Director, Higher Education, Orissa as per the Govt. rules.
AdmissionsThe candidates desiring to apply for this course should have the following eligibility criterion -
1. The candidate should have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC, ST, SEBC, and PH candidates) aggregate marks.
2. The candidate should have a pass in the Oriya language at HSC or higher level.
3. The candidate should have a pass in the Hindi language in one's graduation either as a regular or optional paper. Alternatively, he or she can also have a pass in Rashtra Bhasa Ratna or its equivalent.
The candidates have to download the application form from the college website and fill it completely and submit it. After scrutinizing the application forms the candidates will be called for an entrance test which will be held online mode in the college website and based on the performance in the entrance test the candidates will be selected for the course. The candidates will be intimated beforehand about the exact date and time of the entrance test. It will also reflect on the college website. The entrance test will consist of multiple-choice type two papers. Paper, 1 is of 30 marks and consists of questions on English, General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. Paper-II is of 60 marks and consists of two method subjects i.e. Hindi and Oriya. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes.
The candidates selected and shortlisted in the test will be asked to report to the college with all the original documents in respect of personal data, educational certificates, passport photographs, caste certificate etc and after document, verification will have to deposit admission fee amounting to Rs 7800.
