College of Engineering, Thalassery was established in the year 2000 under CAPE. CAPE(Co-operative Academy of Professional Education)is an autonomous society established by Govt.of Kerala. There are Six Engineering Colleges & 1 medical college under CAPE. College of Engineering, Thalassery is affiliated to Cochin University of Science And Technology(CUSAT).

Being a self financing college, College of Engineering, Thalassery admits candidates under management quota also. The seats are allocated as follows: 50% Free seats, 35% Management seats and the remaining 15% under NRI quota. The fee structure will be different for each category.
Facilities
There is a well furnished and computerised library functions in the college. A collection of 14,000 volumes and 65 journals are stocked to cater the information needs of students & staff. The faculties include Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers, specially trained workshop and Lab Technicians. The associations of each department conduct seminars and workshops regularly. The Career Guidance & Placement Cell of College of Engineering, Thalassery help the students to prepare for the campus recruitment programmes.

College of Engineering, Thalassery is situated on a hilltop in Kundoormala, a village near to Thalassery, Kannur district. It is around 7 kms from Thalassery.
