About T S Chanakya
Training Ship Chanakya is a shore-based training base for nautical courses. The Institute conducts 2 streams of fully residential courses & other modular courses. Courses include: (1) 3 years B.Sc. (Nautical Sciences) Degree Course; (2) 1 year Diploma Course in Nautical Science; (3) 1 week duration of Advanced Fire Fighting Course;(4) 2 weeks duration of GMDSS Course; (5) Basic modular courses for in house cadets: (a) Fire Prevention Fire Fighting; (b)Personal Safety & Social Reasonability: (c) Personal Survival Technique; (d) Elementary First Aid. Facilities include labs,academic classrooms, library,hostel blocks,sports ground,swimming pool,etc.
