About Bharath College of Science and Management
Bharath College of Science and Management is operating from the year 2000 and is run by K. Nadimuthu Memorial Education Trust. The institution is sanctioned by the Government of Tamil Nadu and is affiliated to Bharathidasan University. The ultimate aim of the institution is to provide technical education to the students residing in and around Tanjavur. The college inculcates basic moral, social and spiritual values into the minds of the students. The college provides wide placement opportunities for the students.
Academics and Activities The college offers UG and PG courses in 13 departments- English, Tamil, Fashion Technology, Hotel management, Visual Communication, Bio-technology, Computer science, IT, Maths, Physics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Commerce and Management studies. Research courses are available for M.Phil- Bio technology, food service management and dietetics, hotel management and tourism and Commerce. The college also offers UG/PG diploma courses and certificate courses on branches of fashion technology and hotel management.
The college has separate clubs for NSS, YRC and RRC and the students are involved in the social activities conducted by the clubs.
Facilities The college campus covers an area of 5 lac sq.ft. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated. The college library has more than 4000 books, journals and magazines related to different disciplines on all the knowledge. The college has well equipped lab facilities for computer, chemistry, bio chemistry, microbiology, bio technology, physics, training kitchen, nutrition and dietetics , training restaurant, model bed room, dyeing and designing/tailoring . The labs available for the department of IT, Viscom, biotechnology, fashion technology and nutrition and dietetics are equipped with latest and modern equipment as per the norms of the University. The college provides bus facilities for both staffs and the students. Separate hostel facilities are also available for boys and girls.
Admission procedure The students who wish to join the technology courses available in the college have to fill the application and have to send the filled in forms to the principal along with the Xerox copies of +2/H.Sc/ pre degree mark sheets, transfer certificates, conduct certificate, 2 passport size photos and 2 self-addressed envelope affixed with six rupees stamp. The college will admit the students based upon their selection process and the applicants should produce their original certificates at the time of admission.
Application and Prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs 150/- for PG and Rs 100/- for UG by cash or by DD drawn in favor of “Bharath college of science and management" payable at Tanjavur.
