Introduction
Kongu college is in perundurai, which is located at 20 KMS from Erode,Tamilnadu. The word Kongu refers to a specific region in Tamilnadu, where it was started in 1983 to provide education for the rural people in those places. Later on this college became very popular and became a public reputed institution. And this college is affiliated to Anna university Chennai.
Interiors-
This institution has somewhere around 180 acres of land which includes Kongu college of arts and science , Kongu college of pharmacy, Kongu college of management etc. A well facilitated hostel separately for boys and girls with hygienic food.
Courses and Lab facility
Chemical Engineering, mechatronics (combination of mechanical and electronics) ,food processing technology are some of the rare courses, which is available at Kongu college with good placement feature. Each department is having almost 100-110 students in class. A specially designed lab facility for computer engineering, chemical engineering and Mechatronics attracts lots of visitors.
Placement feature
Kongu College provides both campus placement and also off-campus placement. And special trainings for placements are provided by faculty and also by some senior staffs. Almost 90% of the students are getting placed. A separate industry-institute partnership is very well maintained with different industries connecting across the country, which provides training, projects, internship and also placements for the students
Faculty and academic records
All the faculties working here are M.tech with P.hd graduates. They provide ample coaching ,class room training, practical training to the students. So every year they have very good number of university rank holders. And this helps the students to get easily placed in the campus recruitment.
Salient Features
Well maintained Workshop and separate educational block for for mechanical and Mechatronics students, auditorium , temple inside the college, good canteen facility, sports room, cultural development center, meditation center are some of the features available.
Conclusion
On overall ranking, this institution is good for the students except for the fee structure. And anyone can opt for this college as it satisfies almost all the basic amenities that a college must have.
